Neena Patel is a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with over 14 years of experience guiding families through the beautiful and complex world of infant feeding. She is the founder of Mommy’s Own Milk, an innovative lactation practice based in South Florida that proudly serves families across the United States with compassion, clinical expertise, and heart.
Neena’s training was unique—she was mentored by a trio of exceptional IBCLCs: a Speech-Language Pathologist, a Respiratory Therapist, and a Registered Nurse. Early in her career, she also cared for critically ill patients in a high-acuity hospital unit, giving her a deep foundation in assessment and critical thinking that she brings to every consultation.
As a mother herself, Neena understands firsthand the joys and challenges of the postpartum journey. Her care is rooted in both science and lived experience, empowering families to seek trusted care and feel confident in their choices. She has supported hundreds of families, always with empathy, encouragement, and respect.
Neena wrote this book to help educate the next generation about the beauty of breastfeeding, the magic of breast milk, and the powerful bond it nurtures.
